The Dothan Education Foundation (D.E.F.) provides financial support to Dothan City Schools (DCS) teachers through our annual grant program, and we help promote a positive image by publicizing its achievements and helping the community’s confidence in our public school system.
We serve as a trusted community resource that has the system, its educators and its student’s best interest at the forefront of all we do.
Did you know that since 1995 the D.E.F. has awarded more than $400,000 to Dothan City Schools teachers for special project funding? These funds have helped purchase classroom technology including e-readers, weather labs, books, lab equipment, and other equipment used to help students learn in a 21st century classroom environment that helps prepare them for the demands of tomorrow’s workforce.
Applying for Grant Funding
The D.E.F. will be providing education grants of up to $2,500 to successful applicants for projects in the 2016-2017 school year, though grant requests above that amount will also be considered.
