Your Support Matters.

IT'S MORE THAN JUST TOOLS

Together, we're creating opportunity in the classroom. Your donation matters. Every dollar donated helps bring more resources into a classroom within the Wiregrass.

By becoming a donor, you will be helping to support the operations of the CORE Store, the purchasing of needed products through our network of non-profit support retailers and the shipping costs to receive donated items from  donors across the country.

Poverty Reduction

School supplies help break the cycle of poverty for students and teachers. On average, the typical teacher in our area spends $600 minimally to support students who cannot afford supplies. Our work relieves pressure for teachers and allows them the focus on their expertise. Students can feel supported and focus on learning! It's a win for all.

Increased Ownership

School supplies represent belonging and ownership for students. Students deserve to have the tools needed to succeed. When a student feels prepared they are more apt to attend and participate.

By the Numbers

Federal food programs such as school breakfast and the National School Lunch program are often poverty indicators. Take a look at some the numbers in our area of population who receive support:

Dothan City Schools: 72% of students

Geneva County: 65% of students

From A Teacher

“Sometimes I just have to force myself to stop buying supplies because I’m spending all my money. It keeps me from doing project-based learning with social studies, reading, and math.” – Dothan City School Teacher
